Firstly i have just made my first submission, forum posts and any input into this comunity in over a year. whoo!

This lack of activness towards the community was not becasue i did not want to be an active member, it was a culmination of things in my life and aspect of deviantart i had grown to dislike.

My life in the last year has changed dramatically i have left college, got a job working in a hosital, moved out of my parents to a house 60 miles away with complete strangers (well 12 months ago they were!!) and have had to suffer a huge change in lifestyle which i now adore! also my digital camera broke and my scanner also died so getting digital images would have been almost impossible even if i had had the motivation to do something as regards deviantart.

Secondly and possibly most importnaly i really dislike DAv3, having joined with DAv2 and loving the interface once DAv3 was brought online i didn't really get on with the new interface the decreased speed or any of the other 'features', since the inception of DAv4 however i am pleased to say that i really like the new system. Which brings me onto my third and final (thank god...) point the new submission system is nothing short of perfect, gone are the days where the submission screen was filled with poor web cam shots and sketches. Hopefully the art now displayed will actually mean something to the people in the community.

I honestly don't know what had a greater effect on my tempory depart from the community but what i do know is that i wish to be a part again of something that i truly enjoyed and supported constantly throughout more than a year of being here and submitting my work.

On a side note for my 19th birthday i did recive a new Nikon coolpix 4300 which i have been using non stop so have built up a little gallery of work which i will be submitting over the next couple of months.
